Rose City Renaissance is pleased to announce the launch of phase two in our mission to explore, advocate, and celebrate vocal music from the late-medieval to early-baroque period. In addition to our workshop series, we are starting a 16-voice chamber choir which will cater to intermediate and advanced community members who are looking for performance opportunities. 

Proposed performance dates and repertoire for the 25/26 season:

Project Two: The Penitential Psalms
Music of Lassus, Josquin, Schutz, Monteverdi, Andrea and Giovanni Gabrielli
With early winds (sackbuts, dulcians, and shawms)
Tentative performance date: Friday, May 15

Rehearsals will take place twice a month on Sunday evenings from 6-8:30pm, with extra rehearsals in the week of the project.

Auditions will take place August 24/25/26 between 5pm-8pm.
The audition will consist consist of a brief voicing session to get a sense of range and color, then a prepared excerpt from a madrigal and motet, and finally a duet.  No sight-reading will be required.  Once you sign up I'll send you the scores to prepare.
